of the movie story:
Carmen,
Bridget, Tibby, and Lena are four teenage girls who have been close friends
since they were babies. As four best friends spend their first summer apart
from one another, they share a magical pair of jeans.
A
few days before leaving, the four went shopping, and while at a thrift shop
they discovered an unusual pair of blue jeans that, despite the fact they're
all of different height and weight, fits all four women perfectly. To keep in
touch, they pass these pants to each other as well as the adventures they are
going through while apart, hoping they'll bring one another good luck as the
girls deal with a variety of new life experiences, both good and bad.
For
the first time since their friendship began, the girls will be separated for a
summer vacations. Carmen would be visiting her father in South Caroline, whom
she hasn't seen in years. She finds that he will marry the divorced Lydia
Rodman. Lena would be visiting her grandparents in Greece. She has a crush on
the local fisherman Kostas and finds that there is a feud between their
families. Bridget would be attending a soccer camp in Mexico. She has a crush
on the coach Eric, who is older than her. While Tibby was stuck working at a
discount store to raise money to buy new equipment for her documentary and is
befriended by the twelve year old Bailey that is very ill. After their
vacations, they grow-up and their friendship remains solid as never.
Favorite
Character:
My favorite
character is Carmen. I love her story so much. The story is when she got ‘Patia’
actor in an unpredictable casting; she always does her best in everything. The
story began when she was invited by an actress, Julia, to Vermont in the
Theater Village. She joined in a class that will organize a drama. There was an
opportunity for a volunteer there. in brevity, she was chosen to be a ‘Patia’
in the drama. Although she did not intend to follow the casting, she only did
it seriously. After getting the job, she did it in all out.
Other story is
about her relation with her father. Their relation is friendship. Although her
parents divorced and she lived with her mother, she loved her father badly. She
hadn’t never been to her dad’s apartment―he’d always come to see her instead,
but she wanted to spend her summer in her father’s apartment. The way her
father loves her, made her comfort to be with him, even they were apart. Her
father always asked her about her life and her friends. He knew how it was with
her and Tibby and Lena and Bridget. He always remembered the details of her
friend’s lives from the last time he talked to her. He takes care of her so
much that never asked by other fathers.
This shows that
man and woman can be loyal friends. Not only mothers, but also fathers can be
friends for their son and daughter. We can see the closeness between Carmen and
her father. Carmen considered that her father is her friend that always listens
to her.
